Summer STEAM ‘Careers’ 2021

Our Summer STE(A)M Careers camp motivates all students to further their education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math by exploring nine different ‘careers’. For children ages 4 to 10. 100% of CDC/DOH guidelines followed by Fully Vaccinated Professionals

Week 1


May 31st – June 4th, 2021

FasTrack Robotics Classes will introduce young children in a fun way to the world of engineering, programming, and computational thinking. Built with Cubelets, smart building blocks each with special skills, this program gives children hands-on experiences with challenging problem-solving activities. By introducing children to this unique learning opportunity at an early age FasTrack Robotics helps them thrive in the future where they are not just passive technology users, but inventors and innovators.

Week 2

Electrical Engineers

June 7th – June 11th, 2021

Do you love taking things apart and putting them back together? Explore the basic principles of electronics using resources such as Snap Circuits. You will work in groups and individually on challenging electronics activities that promote problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and the engineering design process.

Week 3

Future Doctors

June 14th – June 18th, 2021

In this class, we will explore the mysterious world of Human Anatomy. Discover the complex world of the brain, spinal cord, senses, and neurons.

June 21st – June 25th, 2021

Ever wonder why skyscrapers can be so tall or why bridges can handle the weight of so many cars? Let’s explore together! Through hands‐on activities, you will experiment with and illustrate shapes, forms, and forces used in building the world around us. Be prepared to bring your own ideas as we lay the foundation for our budding architects, engineers, and scientists!

Week 5

Young Entrepreneurs (“Shark Tank” Week)

June 28th – July 2nd, 2021

Become the next famous entrepreneur! The course is designed to expose the interested student to many functions of modern business using analytical and problem-solving skills. Topics such as business environment, management, marketing, accounting, and data processing are discussed in an introductory manner. If you’re thinking about starting your own business in the future, this is the right course for you! You will learn everything from how to develop proven marketing techniques to traditional and nontraditional financing options.

Week 6

Freelance Travel Photographer

July 5th – July 9th, 2021

Becoming an adventure photographer as your child’s imagination soars as they travel to various regions of the world and learn how children in those countries live. Upload travel photos to social media at the end of the week.

Week 7

Marine Biologist

July 12th – July 16th, 2021

Kids will learn how marine biologists help protect our oceans and sea animals. From cleaning up an oil spill to tracking sea turtles, they get to experience how marine biologists positively impact marine life.

Week 8


July 19th – July 23rd, 2021

The Earth reveals all of its wonders and variety as children explore climate, geology, and the powerful forces of nature. Computer activities and games allow children to take “life-like” imaginary world journeys to examine and explore the composition of the Earth from its surface to its core. A fun way to appreciate the planet our children will be inheriting.

Week 9

Artist and Clay Masters

July 26th – July 30th, 2021

Are you a Van Gogh or a Picasso? Whatever your style, find your inner artist through this extension of painting techniques by exploring the history of art You will paint works modeled after the style of your choice. You will be sculpting with clay and learning about art in other cultures. Your masterpieces are up to you! Guidance will be provided by an experienced artist.

Week 10

Food Scientist

August 2nd – August 6th, 2021

Why do onions make you cry? Do you see your kitchen as your lab? Work collaboratively and individually to explore the chemical reactions necessary for us to enjoy our food. Discover at the molecular level what occurs when dough expands or a sauce thickens.

Week 11


August 9th – August 13th, 2021

The Children explore spatial and abstract thinking as they learn about space travel, the sun, moon, and planets. “Virtual” trips through space even allow them to learn and understand “mind-blowing” facts like gravity and weightlessness.

Week 12

Broadway Star

August 16th – August 20th, 2021

Enjoy an introduction to the fantasy world created in the theater. Examine various aspects of theater production, including taking on an acting role, analyzing a scene, designing a set, and performing for others. Play theater games, improvise, create a stage presence, and create characters. Integrate music, dance, and your talent into performances that audiences will enjoy. Demonstrate how theatrical you can be in front of FasTracKids audience!

Week 13


August 23rd – August 27th, 2021

Your child will meet Dr. Dino, a paleontologist who will guide the students as they explore the land of dinosaurs with his friend Terrance, the flying reptile. Kids get to dig in the dirt to experience how paleontologists make fossil discoveries and learn about the world of the past. Don’t miss the FasTracKids Dinosaur Museum, which will showcase your child’s projects!

Week 14

Forensic Scientist

August 30th – September 3rd, 2021

Calling all sleuths! There’s a mystery brewing at FasTracKids and we need your help to solve it. Children hunt for clues and learn forensic science behind detective work. Young Sherlock Homes will put it to the test to solve an elaborate mystery. Hunt for clues, finger prints, send Morse code messages and then, detective notebook in hand, document your deductions. Finally, puzzle out what the all evidence means to solve the mystery.
